Paranormal Activity 4 will definitely happen


Paramount has announced its plans for 2012, and they include another visit to the lucrative Paranormal Activity franchise...

The third instalment in the Paranormal Activity franchise was pretty much a hit with everyone in 2011, and now a fourth film has been announced by Paramount. It isn't a surprise as such, as the series has been made with very little money and subsequently raked in the big-bucks on release.

There's no word yet on plot points or whether it will be a prequel, sequel or separate story, but you can read our lengthy predictions here. Also have a look at our review of the third film here.

We're fans on the found footage horror when it's done in the right way, and so far PA has done more things right than it has wrong. Let's hope they try to emulate the coherence of PA3, rather than the snore-fest that was PA2.
