Vanessa Hudgens wards off holiday weight with a work-out session

It may be the festive season, but Vanessa Hudgens isn't taking a break from her fitness regime.
The actress – who played Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series – was spotted heading to a yoga class in Studio City, California today.
The 23-year-old – who is dating Disney star Austin Butler – wore a rather unusual outfit to the fitness class.

Donning red jogging bottoms and a white vest, the star covered up with a heavy red and black poncho despite the sunny weather.
She shielded her make-up free face and kinked hair with a white baseball cap as she carried her equipment into the exercise session.
Hudgens didn't seem to care about her undone appearance as she headed straight to brunch with her HSM pal Ashley Tisdale following the work out.
While Ashley was well done up in a thigh-high pair of yellow lace-up boots, the star dined out in her exercise clothing after working up a sweat. 
Vanessa has been seen wearing plenty of loose clothing recently as she enjoys some time off during the Christmas holidays in the Hollywood area.

On Wednesday she wore a loose-fitting black knitted top over jeans and brown boots as she attended a spa appointment at Beverly Hills’ Verabella spa.
The day before that she was spotted clashing a band print t-shirt with brown lace flared leggings and a long grey cardigan as she went to breakfast with her boyfriend and best pal Tisdale.
All the while she has been carrying her favourite fringe embellished bag as she defies the latest celebrity trends.

Today’s excursion makes it the second time Vanessa had been seen out solo in some time.
Of late she has been joined at the hip with boyfriend Austin, who she has been seeing for three months.
But the brunette has a busy time ahead of her, with two films to promote in the new year, Gimme Shelter and The Frozen Ground.
She is also due to start filming Spring Breakers in Spring. The crime drama has all-star cast of Hollywood's hottest young things including James Franco, Emma Roberts, Selena Gomez and Glee star Heather Morris.
