Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here/ Diver’ 2-sided T-shirt

This new t-shirt features original artwork commemorating the album ‘Wish You Were Here.’ On the front is the classic Diver image with ‘Pink Floyd’ printed above. The back of the shirt has the album title printed in large block letters in ocean blue, with the Pink Floyd logo above – a satellite dish, with the slogan ‘Pink Floyd – Still First In Space’ at the neckline. Wish You Were Here questions the market-oriented record companies’ lack of understanding and interest for musicians. The lyrics to the song ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond written by Roger Waters are in tribute to former band member Syd Barrett, with music written by Waters, Richard Wright, and David Gilmour. Barrett is most remembered as a founding member of Pink Floyd, providing significant musical and stylistic direction early on. He left in 1968 amidst stories of mental illness and burnout due to drug use. During one of the recordings at Abbey Road studios, a heavyset man with a completely shaved head and eyebrows wandered into the studio. The band didn’t recognize who it was until suddenly they realized it was Syd Barrett. He had gained a lot of weight, and without any hair plus a 5-year gap, it took some time for his ex-band mates to identify him. When they eventually recognized Barrett, Waters was so distressed he was reduced to tears.
