And Katy Perry certainly commanded attention this evening in a sensational flapper dress.
The Firework singer attended a party held by the City of Hope's Music And Entertainment Industry Group in which this year’s Spirit of Life award was presented to Bob Pittman, Clear Channel CEO.
Tapping into her Twenties fashion flair, Katy stepped out in a burnt rose satin floor-length dress.
The spaghetti strap gown was detailed with lace and pearls on the upper bodice and snaking around the side panels to the back, with Katy appearing to go braless beneath.
The 27-year-old teamed the creation with a long pearl necklace bound twice around her neck.
She also wore an elegant headdress and clutched a feather, while showcasing a delicate pair of drop earrings - of which only one could be seen as the other was hidden behind her bob.
Katy had applied thick make-up for an ultra glamorous Hollywood look, with immaculate lipstick within the confines of her pout and heavy eye make-up to bring out the green of her iris.
The event, held at the The Geffen Contemporary at The Museum of Contemporary Art, drew a sea of other famous faces too.
Fellow stars to join Katy on the red carpet included Ryan Seacrest and UK Voice judge will.i.am.
