Mother-of-eight Kate Gosselin sets a personal best on half-marathon (and brings her bodyguard to cheer her on)
She recently broke down in tears and admitted on national television how lonely she was.
But it seems the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star has found a way to fill her time.
The former reality star set a personal record at the 2012 San Diego Rock 'n' Roll half-marathon yesterday, finishing the 13.1-mile race in one hour and 56 minutes.
An excited Gosselin gushed about her milestone on Twitter, writing: 'I did it!! My official finish was 1:56:40...A PR for me for sure! I wanted to finish the 1/2 marathon in under 2 hrs...& I blew it away! YAY!
Kate, 37, completed her first full marathon just six months ago,
running the grueling 26.2-mile Zappos Rock N Roll Las Vegas marathon in
under five hours.
The mother-of-eight, who never worked out regularly until recently, has undergone a dramatic transformation since becoming a reality TV sensation in 2008.
Us Weekly reported that Kate was 'consumed with her appearance' and has had a tummy tuck, breast implants in 2009 and Botox injections.
The fact that she was accompanied by bodyguard Steve Neild did little to dampen rumours that the pair are an item.
Neild was at her side the entire time and held her cell phone and other items while Kate competed in the marathon.
Kate has consistently denied that the two are an item since pictures of her in Cabo with the handsome married security guard back in 2010 prompted rumours of an affair, which Kate blasted as 'absurd'.
'I am completely alone - and believe me, I spend a lot of time contemplating the fact that could be alone for the rest of my life,' she said at the time.
