It seems Julianne Hough was determined not to be outshone at her latest movie premiere.
For the dancer wore a dazzling yellow dress for the first showing of musical Rock of Ages in Hollywood tonight.
The former Dancing With The Stars favourite looked stunning in the elegant skin tight gown.

She showed off her wonderfully perky dancer's physique, earned through a lifetime of practice.

 

The big screen adaptation, which focuses on the Eighties glam metal period, is just the 23-year-old's third stab at big screen success, following her turns in Burlesque and Footloose.

Tom, who plays aging rock frontman Stacee Jaxx near the end of the infamous 80s hair metal period,  even tried to win some heavy metal credibility by flashing the devil horn salute to his adoring fans.
He also decided to dress down for the occasion, wearing a suede jacket, jeans, pullover and walking boots instead of the tried and trusted suited look.

The Far and Away favourite revelled in the rock star treatment he received from his excited fanbase, and gladly signed autographs for the crowd.
While his back was turned Julianne sauntered off to grab a hold of her fellow leading star Diego Boneta, who plays assistant barman Drew Boley, who dreams of being a rock star.

But a premiere celebrating the hair metal era would not be complete without a member of the genre's royalty, and Bret Michaels, who fronted arguable the style's most dubious outfit Poison, lapped up the chance at experiencing what it is like to be a star again.
