He unwittingly found himself at the centre of a nightclub fracas after Lindsay Lohan allegedly took a shine to him last week.
But it would seem Max George is keen to continue his friendship with the troubled actress as she joined the 24-year-old singer and the rest of The Wanted at their Boston gig on Thursday night.
The 26-year-old star was pictured laughing and joking with Max's bandmate, Tom Parker, as they wandered around backstage following the group's gig at the KISS 108 Jingle Ball at TD Garden.

While Tom seemed to be entertaining Lindsay with his tales, Max kept his head down as the trio wandered outside.
Lindsay, who was wrapped up in a grey fur coat and black jeans, was carrying a packet of cigarettes, suggesting the new pals were all heading out for a sneaky cigarette after the performance.
According to TMZ.com, the redhead beauty travelled with the British band to Boston from their gig in Philadelphia the previous evening.

While a source told TMZ that Max 'did invite LiLo backstage for the Philly Jingle Ball' he 'doesn't want a girlfriend, and is a single guy... but doesn't mind having Lindsay around'.
And the Manchester-born singer certainly seemed to have enjoyed his time with the Hollywood star.

Lindsay was arrested in the early hours of last Thursday evening after allegedly punching psychic palm reader Tiffany Mitchell at New York’s Avenue night club.
The flame-haired star is said to have a crush on Max, and attempted to get backstage to see the hunk after his chart-topping band supported Justin Bieber at Madison Square Garden.
Despite being banned, she met up with the boyband at the celebrity haunt, and the evening descended into chaos as Max started chatting up another woman - not married Mitchell - riling Lohan, a source close to the band confirmed to Mail Online.
Max split from his fiancée, British soap star Michelle Keegan, in August and a band source told Mail Online: 'Max is a single guy, he is flirtatious, and a lot of women find him attractive. He's free to play around.'
But while things seem to be on the up for Lindsay's personal life, her career comeback may not have proved as lucrative as she'd hoped with the actress reportedly turning to selling off her extensive wardrobe of designer clothes as a way of raising funds.
According to RadarOnline.com, the star as been sending her 18-year-old sister Ali to hawk her wares at a Los Angeles shop that specialises in second hand threads.
Meanwhile, Lindsay will soon find out if she will be charged over her alleged assault of Tiffany Mitchell during a November 29 nightclub brawl.
A source told Radar: 'The Assistant DA handling the case will decide next week whether or not to formally charge Lindsay. They're currently going over all of the evidence and met with Tiffany and her attorney, Gloria Allred earlier this week for three hours.
'The meeting was very productive and provided the prosecutors and cops with further insight into what allegedly happened that night. The NYPD thinks that there is more than enough evidence to charge Lindsay with a crime'
