She may have recently got engaged to The Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth.
But Miley Cyrus proved she won't be opting for a demure new look anytime soon as she stepped out in a trashy outfit in New York yesterday.
The 19-year-old star flashed the flesh in an ensemble that certainly failed to score her any points in the style stakes as she enjoyed a day of shopping in the Big Apple.

Miley ignored the fashion rule of only showing your chest or your legs, and paired a sheer black crop top with aztec-print high-waisted hotpants.

But the outfit was made even trashier by her black bra being visible through the skimpy top, and her choice of ugly black thigh-high boots.
The teen star wore minimal make-up and her new blonde hairstyle gave her a distinctly washed-out complexion.

But it would seem Miley realised the error of her ways while she was on her shopping trip.

As soon as she set foot in an upscale department store, the Last Song actress ditched her zip-up boots and walked around with no shoes on until she found a pair of cowboy-style ankle boots, which seemed to take her fancy.
Miley flew out to New York following her recent trip to see Liam on the set of his new movie in Philadelphia, but it would appear she is already missing her beau.

The star, who got engaged to the Australian hunk last month after dating for three-and-a-half years, has recently been posting cryptic tweets about how much she misses her husband-to-be while he is away from their Los Angeles home.

'"You can love someone so much...But you can never love people as much as you can miss them",' she quoted on her Twitter page.
Miley added: 'At the end of the day it's all about loving yourself and the people that love u as much as u love them.'

The former Disney star, who shot to fame at the tender age of 11, has sparked concerns in recent weeks due to her dramatic weight loss and apparent gym obsession, and last week, was snapped with a series of thin scars on her forearms, although she has insisted she does not self-harm.
Friends of the actress have claimed Miley's recent troubles are down to the fact that she feels 'threatened' by Liam's The Hunger Games co-star, Jennifer Lawrence. 
A source told Grazia magazine: 'Jennifer seems to have replaced Miley as Hollywood's It girl. And now Miley seems terrified she'll replace her as Liam's girlfriend, too.
'That's when she started working out so much and the weight dropped off. Miley's had to grow up fast  and I guess she's worried her success could all end tomorrow.
'She's barely sleeping and seems an emotional mess inside - it's very sad.'
