Now that is one way to promote a new single! Lady Gaga blares her debut dance track to her 'little monsters' from SUV
These days musicians heavily rely on
the internet to promote new music.
But Lady Gaga used a more intimate way to give her fans a sneak peak of her upcoming dance track.
The 26-year-old was surrounded by adoring fans, otherwise known as her 'little monsters', when she turned up her stereo and wound down the windows to blast the single out of the vehicle, according to MTV.com.
She played a short portion of
the clip before driving off.
Fans immediately took to Twitter to rave about the encounter.
One fan excitedly wrote: 'Just met Gaga! She was playing a song from her new album! It was a very heavy dance/club song! The beat was f***ing insane!'
Another bragged: 'I asked her if it was the new single she looked at me and shook her head yes and said "shhhhh."'
Gaga's new highly-anticipated
album is said to be based entirely on dance music.
The singer said that she wanted her next LP to be less responsible.
'Let's just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote Born This Way, I demonstrated a sense of maturity. And I feel that on the next album there's a lack of maturity - it's a tremendous lack of maturity or sense of responsibility,' she said.
Today Gaga was seen arriving at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles after jetting in from New York.
Wearing a uncharacteristically demure black top and cream blazer
combination, she smiled for the cameras.
The singer accessorised with large sunglasses and wore a Chanel headband around her head.
Meanwhile, fellow pop star Madonna has made another jibe at Lady Gaga.
The Celebration singer claimed she is a big fan of the younger pop star's track Born This Way - which has previously been compared with her hit Express Yourself - because she 'helped to write' the song.
She said on Brazilian TV: 'I'm
a really big fan of ['Born This Way']. I'm glad that I helped Gaga
write it.'
Madonna - who has performed a mash-up of Born This Way and Express Yourself during her MDNA gigs - has previously claimed Gaga copied her track.
She has said: 'I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song'. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting.'
However, Gaga has previously hit back on the comparisons, branding them 'retarded'.
She said: 'I'm a songwriter. I've written loads of music. Why
would I try to put out a song and think I'm getting one over on
everybody? That's retarded.
'What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about... If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression.
'It's the same one that's been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I'm the first f**king artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means that I'm f**king smart. Sorry!'
