Brandi Glanville acts the doting mother as she takes her sons to the beach... but feud with LeAnn Rimes continues

It was a picture-perfect photo opportunity that belied a turmoil under the surface that shows no sign of receding.
Brandi Granville, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was snapped in idyllic pictures with her sons on Wednesday, playing beach volleyball and then sparring with them before sitting down to watch the sunset on Santa Monica beach.
Just hours before, however, the 39-year-old reality star had tweeted: 'Not a good day thus far'.

Brandi was likely worried abut her father, who the previous day had undergone emergency surgery after a boat motor fell and chopped his foot.
On Tuesday evening, another post on Brandi's Twitter account was more pertinent to the unfolding - and clearly continuing - feud with her children's stepmother LeAnn Rimes.
'Call me CRAZY but I don't think "Twee-hab" worked! Xxxb,' posted Brandi.
She was apparently referring to singer Rimes's recent stint in a rehabilitation facility, which was a response in part to aggressively mean comments about the singer made on Twitter and other social sites.

Rimes, who had an affair with Brandi's then husband Eddie Cibrian before marrying him in 2009, checked out of a rehab facility last week to perform her rescheduled tour dates.
The 30-year-old singer soon gushed about her progress while in rehab, which she claims was for stress and anxiety.
At the time Rimes entered the rehab facility, Brandi issued a statement of support, signalling that her long-running rivalry with her much younger nemesis was coming to an end.

'I totally support LeAnn's decision to enter rehab - my top priority is my children, and at the end of the day we are a family.
'LeAnn is their stepmom, and they love her. I am wishing her all the best and I hope she will find what she is looking for while in rehab.'
Brandi's new tweet, however, appears to contradict that earlier public display of support for Rimes.

For her trip to the beach on Wednesday, Brandiopted for white shorts which showed off her famously long legs, which she paired with a flowing peach shirt over a white singlet top.
She went barefoot on the beach, her only accessory a pair of drop earrings.
Her sons, nine-year-old Mason and five-year-old Jake, wore boardshorts and T-shirts for their outing.
