On his best behaviour! Snowboarder Shaun White is ambassador at GQ Gentlemen's Ball... despite drunken arrest
It is understandable that he kept his head down for a while following his recent arrest for drunkenly smashing up a hotel room.
But Shaun White was allowed back into the fold of civilised society on Wednesday night as an ambassador at the fifth GQ Gentlemen's Ball.
The two-time Olympic champion seemed in a jubilant mood as he sauntered down the red carpet at the black tie bash and then got his moment at the podium.
The 26-year-old was joined by the likes of Cheers legend Ted Danson, 64, who now stars in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation but has been celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic bar show's first episode this month.
Actor Kellan Lutz and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine were the other ambassadors for the evening.
He was certainly in a better mood
than when he was photographed by police following his bender in
Tennessee on September 14, where he was attending musician Patrick
Carney's wedding.
He looked grim and sported a bruised left eye when his mugshot was taken.
He has since apologised after being collared for public intoxication and vandalism.
Levine was joined by his
stunning girlfriend, model Behati Prinsloo, while Danson was joined by
his equally beautiful wife, Kate.
Both women stuck to black, perhaps not to distract from their chaps' big night.
Kelly Ripa broke away from convention to match her grey to her husband Mark Consuelos and was also joined by on-screen partner, former NBA star Michael Strahan.
