Let's hope lunch was a bit more filling! Anne Hathaway starts to put on weight after living on hummus and radishes for Les Misérables
Let's hope Anne Hathaway celebrated the final scene of Les Misérables by chomping a burger.
The Get Smart actress was forced to shrink to realistically embody the role of prostitute Fantine.
And the 29-year-old has revealed her quest to lose the pounds was accomplished by ditching carbohydrates and living on a diet fit for a rabbit - namely 'hummus and radishes'.
Speaking to the July issue of Allure magazine, Anne said: 'I'm doing some crazy weight stuff now.
'I'm on day six of detox... This diet makes me break out, so I love that. Nothing like living on hummus and radishes and then be all, "And I got a pimple. Yeah!"'
Following her afternoon trip to Bibigo Korean BBQ in Los Angeles, Anne beamed with a Cheshire cat grin as she stepped into the car to greet boyfriend Adam Schulman.
She seemed to have gained a fraction of weight, with a healthier complexion, although lurked beneath her tomboy ensemble of a baggy black sweater and electric blue jeans.
Other stars who have changed their shape in the name of their art include Christian Bale, who dropped 63 pounds for The Machinist, and Natalie Portman who shifted 20lbs for Black Swan.
Anne is no stranger to pushing her body to its limits, having spent a year preparing for her Catwoman all-in-one in the hotly-anticipated film The Dark Knight Rises.
She revealed she lived on 'kale (a form of cabbage) and dust' to wear the skintight suit.
''It was a psychological terrorist,' said the Academy Award-nominee. 'The suit, thoughts of my suit, changing my life so I would fit into that suit... It dominated my year.
'I didn't understand how you could be thin and strong. I went into the gym for ten months and didn't come out.'
