Scott Disick recreates scene from The Notebook in a bid to keep romance with Kourtney Kardashian alive
With a second child on the way, the romance in Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s relationship had started to dwindle.
And realising this was upsetting his other half, Scott attempted to rekindle that in tonight’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Scott pulled out all the stops for his squeeze, even recreating a scene from The Notebook in a bid to win her affections.
Kourtney’s worries began after
she was keen to spend some romantic time with Scott and the pair decided
to run a bubble bath to take together.
But Scott quickly got on Kourtney’s nerves, and she later felt inspired by watching Titanic and wished her relationship had the same kind of passion.
The 33-year-old called Scott to come upstairs and watch the film with her and questioned why they didn’t have that kind of romance in their relationship.
Scott dismissed her feelings because she was comparing her feelings to a movie, and said: ’I’m a realist.’
Kourtney confessed to the
cameras: ‘Sometimes I do wish we could go back to how things were at the
beginning of our relationship.’
Scott wanted to humour Kourtney and attempted to turn himself into Ryan Gosling in The Notebook – by getting airbrushing to sculpt fake abs.
He then went topless and climbed a ladder, so that Kourtney would find him doing some DIY around the house.
When Kourtney came home, Scott humorously said: ‘Where have you been? I wrote you 98 times in text message,' before adding: 'I can't quit you!'
But
Kourtney wasn’t impressed by his efforts, which upset Scott and he
said: ‘I feel like all you want is something that I’m not.’
Scott went to Bruce Jenner for advice and the pair headed to a barber shop together, but Bruce’s words only made Scott more nervous for his future.
Scott then planned a romantic night for his squeeze and bought her red roses and cooked her dinner, whole Kourtney’s sister Kim babysat Mason for the night.
Scott said he agreed that they should try to be romantic and spice up their relationship, and Kourtney was grateful for the gesture, telling him: ‘There is something romantic about how hard you’ve been trying.’
Elsewhere, Kris was feeling
nostalgic after she played a game of tennis with Bruce, something she
used to do regularly with ex-husband Robert Kardashian and Kim, Khloe
and Kourtney.
So she was keen to get the whole family back on the court.
And Kim and Kourtney began to make fun of the grunting sounds Kris was making as she hit the ball, so Kourtney called up brother Rob and jokingly asked him: ‘Do you want to hear mom have sex?’
Kim was just as keen to set up a family tennis match – but with ulterior motives, as she wanted the whole brood to hear the loud noises Kris made during the game.
She asked the camera: ‘Am I the only one that is tortured by this noise?’
Shortly into the game, Kim and Kylie were mimicking their mother who wasn’t seeing the funny side.
She said: ‘Stop it. You’re making this miserable for me. You know what, I’m done,’ and swore at her children before throwing down her racquet and leaving the court in a huff.
Kim realised she had taken things too far and in an effort to encourage her mother to continue to play tennis, she bought her a designer tennis racket and some balls.
Meanwhile Bruce spent some time with his son Brandon from his second marriage to Linda Thompson, and took him to the racetrack.
He then asked Kris if she would be willing to manage Brandon, who is attempting to launch a music career alongside his wife Leah.
But Kris was hesitant and said: ‘Sometimes to mix business and family might not be the best idea.’
Bruce laughed at the suggestion and said: ’Our whole family on this side is a business.’
Kris kept putting off watching
Brandon’s music video so a frustrated Bruce decided to crash her meeting
with Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds.
He played the video for the pair who were both impressed, and wanted to meet the singing couple.
But Bruce hadn’t foreseen that Brandon might not be so keen on the idea of working with his step-mother.
‘I think it would be kind of weird her being our manager,’ he said, but he agreed to a meeting and Kim came too.
When Kris said she wanted Brandon to meet with her and Babyface to move further with the project, he said: ‘I think it would be difficult.’
Rather than be annoyed, Kris was relieved, and agreed: ‘The situation could go south really fast and ruin our relationship, which is pretty chill.’
So the pair decided to break the news to Bruce together, and while they were concerned, he took their decision well.
