Lindsay Lohan strikes up another iconic Elizabeth Taylor in a floppy hat and kaftan for new movie
For fans of Hollywood's Golden Age, there is understandably no comparison.
But Lindsay Lohan today again attempted to emulate one of most legendary actress from the era, Elizabeth Taylor, as filming for her biopic continued.
Dressed in a 70s style floppy hat and a sunshine yellow kaftan, Lohan, 25, boarded a luxury yacht in Los Angeles for day two of shooting TV biopic Liz & Dick, about Taylor's turbulent romance with fellow actor Richard Burton.
Lohan did her best to match her
screen idol's glamorous style - but the image was spoilt somewhat as
she puffed on a cigarette rather inelegantly during breaks.
Lohan was photographed on board the luxury yacht in Marina Del Rey, joined by co-star Grant Bowler as Burton.
The boat has reportedly been built to replicate Taylor and Richard Burton's romantic trip to the Bay of Naples in Italy in 1965.
In between shots, Lohan was handed fictional magazine Epoque, and appears in one scene to lounge while reading the fashion glossy.
The actress appears to have fully embraced the role, despite critics blasting the choice of casting.
She is reported to have dyed her hair to play Taylor, but will instead wear a series of wigs.
Welsh-born actor Burton died of a brain haemorrhage in 1984, aged just 58.
The Lifetime Television movie marks Lohan's first lead role since her flop Labor Pains in 2009.
The actress previously voiced her excitement at playing Taylor, who died of congestive heart failure last year.
She said in a statement: 'I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honoured to have been asked to play this role.'

No stranger to scandal herself, Taylor met Burton while
filming Cleopatra in 1962 and began a romance even though she was still
married to Eddie Fisher while Burton was wed to Sybil Williams.
The couple has been described as having one of the greatest love affairs of the 20th century, living out a turbulent relationship in the public eye.
They first married from 1964 to 1974 and briefly went their seperate ways. They married again in 1975, but their second union only lasted a year, and they divorced again in 1976.
