Lindsay Lohan continues to channel a young Elizabeth Taylor as reports claim that police failed to get a blood test following car crash
She was shaken up following a car crash last week, but all of that seesm to be a distant memory for Lindsay Lohan now.
The 25-year-old actress was spotted filming her latest movie, Liz and Dick, yesterday and looked happy and relaxed despite reports surrounding the accident still surfacing.
The latest turn of events is that Lohan wasn't made to do a blood test following the car crash and therefore the police are unsure if she had been drinking.
According
to Radar Online, the Santa Monica Police 'didn't request a blood sample
from Lindsay Lohan when she was in the emergency room' after she drove
into the back of a truck last Friday.
'Lindsay was given a portable breathaliser test along with several other field sobriety tests and she passed them all,' a source told the website.
'She did everything that was asked of her and cooperated fully. This is why the cops didn't request a blood sample from Lindsay, as they concluded that she wasn't under the influence and didn't need to be given a blood test.'
The source went on to add that Lohan was apparently 'shaken up' about
the accident, and was told by the police that her 'seat belt absolutely saved her life.'
The Parent Trap star mangled her Porsche in the Pacific Coast Highway, and was sent straight to the hospital with her assistant - who was also in the car.
Neither of them received serious injuries and Lohan was back on set in no time, looking just as glamorous as she had before the accident.
Yesterday she was spotted on a balcony at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Marina Del Rey, California.
Channeling another one of Taylor's timeless looks, Lohan wore an all black dress with stand-out diamond earrings and a matching necklace and bracelet.
She completed her look with bright red lipstick and by wearing her hair in a chic bun as she smoked a cigarette and joked around with members of the crew.
The day before she was seen on set modelling a red gown and a curly hairstyle and also a yellow pleated dress and a fur coat.
Filming for the upcoming TV
film began this month with the story revolving around Taylor's
relationship with her husband Richard Burton - whom she married twice.
Grant Bowler portrays Burton in the film and according to executive producer of the film Larry A. Thompson, there has 117 costume changes altogether in the 88-minute television movie, with Lohan taking up 66 of those herself.
'When you're changing over four decades, that means the wigs change, the aging process of makeup changes, the fashion changes, not to mention you're trying to pay homage to the type of clothes and jewelry that Taylor wore,' Thompson told The Hollywood Reporter.
Thompson went on to say that the decision to cast Lohan was the biggest challenge of the project.
'At the time we did agree to hire her we were not totally sure of her level of commitment,' he explained. 'But she has certainly lived up to every expectation we had of her.
'I keep saying that there are more ways for this movie to fail than there are for it to succeed. You can tell the greatest story in the world, but if you have somebody wearing a bad wig in the movie, you're dead; one bad wig can kill you.
'There's a curiosity factor about Lohan and a high expectation of the movie by the audience in general.'
