Stealing the spotlight! Willow Smith upstages mother Jada with her eccentric outfit at Madagascar 3 premiere
She is well known for her eccentric
taste in fashion, regularly sporting multi-coloured hairstyles and a
hugely varied wardrobe.
And Willow Smith even managed to upstage her elegantly dressed mother with her sartorial choices at tonight's Madagascar 3 premiere in New York.
The 11-year-old singer and actress sported a pair of patterned black and white leggings with studded detail and a near-matching black jacket with gold and white studs on the shoulders.

The unusual outfit was completed with a baggy Star Wars T-shirt, a bright red hat and some chunky trainers.
Jada, 40, sported a glitzy gold Salvatore Ferragamo dress with black strappy Jimmy Choo heels and happily posed for photographer with her daughter almost reaching the same height.
Mother and daughter were joined by Will Smith, who looked particularly dapper in a three piece grey suit and black and white spotted tie.
However, the family were missing Willow's older brother Jaden, 13, who is also an actor.
Jada reprises her role of Gloria the hippo in the animated movie series which sees popular characters Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the zebra and Melman the giraffe reunite in a European flavour adventure.
Willow has also had her part in the franchise - voicing the young Gloria in the 2008 movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.
The new film Madagascar 3: Europe's Most
Wanted, sees the characters continue in their struggle to get home to New
York, where their journey ends up taking them through Europe where they
join a travelling circus.
And Jada has enjoyed returning to the franchise, recently telling S2S magazine, that going back to Gloria was like: 'Putting on an old jacket, shirt or a pair of old slippers that you are just very familiar with. So it’s not difficult at all.'
'Gloria's a lot of girl and she loves it. I try to give her that sass and that swag. It’s not necessarily talking about it, but sometimes just showing it. It’s about how you look at yourself and how you carry yourself.'
Jada's new film will ultimately be
competing with husband Will's offering Men in Black III at the box office but the actress
tells the magazine the whole family support each other's projects. 'That’s just part of being in a creative group like we are,' she said.
Tonight also saw new cast member Jessica Chastain join in the red carpet fun, posing with larger than life cuddly versions of Alex the lion and Sipper the penguin on the carpet.
The Help actress looked stunning in a strapless Yves St Laurent dress and belt, which she teamed with a pair of black heels.
Chastain voices circus animal Gia
the jaguar, one of several new characters who include Vitaly the
Siberian tiger (voiced by Bryan Cranston), and Stefano the sea lion
(Martin Short).
Ben Stiller and David Schwimmer also lent their support to the film, arriving with their wives Christine and Zoe.
Chris Rock and wife Maalak brought their children along, with daughters Lola and Zahra looking excited to be on the red carpet.
